Aurora (the model) wants to get into part time modelling, her mother got in touch with me to take some pictures for her. She had never modeled before and it was my first try as well. As the day progressed both Aurora and me got more comfortable and were able to communicate. I am thankful to her mother (Karena) who helped us both by suggesting different poses as I was pressing the shutter.

These are some of the pictures from the photo-shoot! I will really appreciate suggestions, comments or critique!

She's very pretty, you should encourage her to continue. I left some comments on the images.

The camera does seem to like her quite well... nice job with these images. I left some comments for you.

Thanks David and Tina for the comments :)

@David : About the light in her eyes, thanks for pointing that out, I will try to add it using my little knowledge of Photoshop! But I do see your point!
The greenish color in the reflection is due to the wall behind the glass, will try PS again here!

@Tina : I noticed the band in the wrist after this shot! We don't have it in the later shots! Thanks for the suggestion!
In the last shot, she is holding the scarf - reading your comment I believe I should have included her hands to show the complete pose

She's a pretty woman, but you might try having a makeup artist for one of your test shoots. Even though she has good skin, a makeup artist will be able to smooth out the look and texture of her skin and add highlights and shadows that will bring out the best features and hide the shadows under her eyes. This will also show her real potential for modeling, since most do use makeup artists. It's sometimes amazing the difference in looks of some models before a shoot and during a shoot. Not all of them have perfect skin and facial features.

But it could be worth paying one for a couple of hours work to see what a good makeup artist can do.

These are very good portraits.
