Unfortunately you have to join within the first 24 hours of voting. Be sure to keep a look out for next weeks challenges as no doubt I will be running these side challenges with those as well.

OK Judi will do. Well I am entered for both Wind II and Landscape in Portrait.
BTW this is looking like a better and better idea...my Train score peaked at 4.8686 and is now 4.805 or something dismal like that. Sometimes the sheer seeming capriciousness of the voting on this site drives me 'round the bend.
I used a sharply focused shot, a good angle and most of the rules of composition...then I used ONE - count 'em, ONE - PS filter on my Train -and am getting pilloried for it.
How many other people are driven absolutely insane by this?! |

Let's just say that my first response was going to be to tell you you're doing well if the capriciousness only "drives you 'round the bend" SOMETIMES. :)
On my oxymoron entry, I actually got more 10s than 9s. Commenters averaged 7.4 vs. a 5.6 overall score. And so far in bokeh III, most of the comments are things like "love it." Score: 5.7.
I just take it as I'm connecting well with a small but devoted group. :)

| oops sorry, 4.8402...oh well all the same to me, still quite a slide from 4.8686...btw I see in some posts people are able to see precisely what individual scores they'd been getting (ie "I just got a 3"), while their pic was being voted on. Is this feature still operational and if so, where do I find it? |

It's not a feature, it's obsessive behavior (I'm guilty of it, too).
To find out the latest vote, you need to note your vote count and score at one point (call them vote1 and score1), and then note the same numbers one vote later (vote2 and score2). Your latest vote is then:
Vote2*score2 - vote1*score1
If you don't catch it exactly one vote later, then you can still get an average score for the most recent votes:
(vote2*score2 - vote1*score1) / (vote2-vote1)
