Any chance you can put'em all up in a gallery to give us a chance to say which ones DNMC?

This is the best thread I have read in a while. It is full of hickied buttocks, and chapped lips. This is great.

I think there should be an e-reality forum deal where we vote off people each week until somebody is crowned to the Site Council. It would be fun to watch all the applicants jump through hoops to try and make it to the ultimate prize.

Can you be the next Site Council Idol?

This is quite possibly the best idea ever! :)

Thank you. It is a selfish idea really. I like to watch people jump through hoops.

I am sure somebody can do better, I just don't have the time. You get the idea. lol

Just curiosity.

About 35 - 40 when I asked yesterday.

However the words foregone conclusion spring to mind here. Still, waiting until rollover gives the impression thats its all being done democratically.

Normal programming has resumed.

Mark,

So far we have 41 applicants, and I can't point to a single one who I can say that I'm certain will make the cut. We have a large number of great candidates in the field, and the most difficult part of the process is that we'll ultimately have to pass on some people who would be great additions to the team, simply because there aren't enough seats available. A few days ago, we received an email from a participant who was concerned that we might simply choose the individuals who are most vocal or popular. I will share our reply to that email. It seems to fit well here, so I see no point in reinventing the wheel:

Originally posted by ClubJuggle (via ticket system):

Be assured that we share your concerns and do not intend to make the Site Council selection process about popularity or quantity of forum posts. Professionalism, fairness, respect for the rules, and a solid understanding of the purpose and direction of the site are paramount, and applicants who have, through their past history on the site, shown that they do not possess these traits, will be eliminated early in the process. Our focus will be on adding to a cohesive team that is committed to work together in the best interests of DPChallenge and the community.

I will add to this, that diplomacy and ability to respect and work with members of a team are critical traits as well.

I like it. The applicants can run through obstacle courses, take part in endurance challenges, and eat really gross stuff. I'd suggest using Art Roflmao as the host.

Oh yes. I'll be awarding the coveted
Golden Slippy

to the first newbie SC to lock a newly-created thread of mine.

Been thinking of sending my CV in the last couple of days. I would really like to help out, but this will be a very busy year for me. :(

There's no foregone conclusions here - the field is pretty much wide open, lots of good candidates so far. I expect our deliberations will take several days...

Mmmmmmmmmmm

It's that smite button, it's more addictive than the update one, and mk must be having withdrawls by now... ;o)

Smite button? Do you get a whole panel of new buttons if selected? Tell me there's a cheese desensitizer button! Even if not selected I need that before this nude challenge starts!

The coffee button was always good in the SC, I remember that. ClubJuggle was always up early picking fresh Bolivian coffee beans. Good coffee. I miss that :)

What, you guys want MORE?

Just want to wish the best of luck to all SC applicants.

I also look forward to seeing who are the new Site councilors are, and wish everyone the best of luck.
Remember there are only three vacant positions, so don't feel bad if you miss out.
It seems like a lot of dedication, and hope the team don't have to much trouble choosing the right ones. Good luck.....

With so many top-notch applicants already throwing in their request, there will indeed be trouble. 81 minutes left if you want to make our decision even harder.
