This week has been awful , I've been out the hospital only to return to ER and spend more time there without solution , only more morphine against the pain and again back home in the same situation , a painful body with a painful soul.

As this community is quite as my second family I ask now for your kind thoughts.

Too many days without sleep , without rest , just the fear that tonight it could be worse because last critical moments seemed to be related with the change of my morphine patch and tonight I have to change it again.

I REALLY WOULD APPRECIATE YOUR POSITIVE THOUGHTS !

Thank you !

I'll throw all the positive vibes I can muster in your general direction. And, of course, I hope you feel better soon.

Hugs and prayers for you. My wife Karen is on the same kind of patches at 100mg every 3 days, and many other meds for all of her problems related to FMS and lupus. I understand how you must be struggling with all your pain.

Best wishes to you during this difficult time. Please consider seeing a doctor outside the emergency room setting. Emergency rooms are good at quickly addressing most issues, but if the problem keeps coming back it likely requires a more thorough approach. For instance, morphine is a decent pain medicine, however there are other types of pain medicine that are either stronger, last longer, or more directly deal with specific types of pain. Pain management is its own specialty, because treating pain that does not respond to basic treatments (as seems to be the case with you) is a very tricky area.

You have a large community of support here at DPC. I hope that before too long this experience will be only a memory.

Miracles can happen and I pray that one big miracle comes your way, so that you get the rest you need and wake up to a brand new day free from pain. Hold on!

You will allways be you
This pain is fleeting
This day will become tomorrow
And yesterday will never be today
Tomorrow brings the hope
Of a forgotten yesterday.

Mambe, one must try to remain positive, with each and every moment, if one can. I truely understand where you are coming from, and feel for you so very much. Some days are unbareable, no matter what anyone can say or do. I come to realize that one must really truely rise above the pain, to be able to deal with it. That isn't easy to do.

I found learning to meditate helped me so much. Also the belief in myself, and I try to rise above the pain, to hopefully be at a place where one can cope with it.

Some days I to, can hardly move an inch, but always try and look at the big picture. I try and remain as positive as I can, for if I don't, it will completely consume me, and take over and then I am lost. Sometimes I can be lost for days, until I rise above that pain level, to a place where I can see myself coping, to then be able to cope, and then I am able to fight the pain, the best way I can.

It is hard, but so many people out there, are even worse of than us. I feel for them, and somehow that seems to put things into perspective a little. No, it doesn't take away the pain, but make one feel we are not alone and that seems to help, just a little sometimes.

Your photogrphy is a joy to see, and hope that will help you to find the answers you need, to deal with your pain, that you are dealing with right now.

Never give up, and remember there are people out there that care deeply about you. Be strong for them. My thoughts and prayers are coming your way, right now.

No need to worry about replying in any hurry. Just try to be strong and take each morning as it comes. Rest when you can. Let us know how you are doing.
Karen wants to say hello on line some time, and visit with you about much that you two have in common.
Best to you and family,
W T.
