Outtake

Did people just not get it? Because I feel I got a much lower score than I deserved. But isn't that always the case? LOL. Seriously though, I was blown away, esp in a challenge that had such low participation.

You picked the correct entry..no doubt. I "got" it and laughed, because that movie is hilarious and that is a great scene. I think overall it was a low scoring challenge. I think technically, the only drawback in people's minds was perhaps the snapshot look to it.

Weird how the cans on the left got stretched out. Shot it straight on with my Pentax tele zoom -- wanted telephoto to flatten the image. Liked the 12-can shot I entered better anyway.

You submitted the right one - I *do* like it better with the red in it. Adds a nice kick to the image, don't you think? Appreciate the alternate attempt!

OUTTAKE

Like the outtake better, but was afraid it could be too subtle or misunderstood as accidenatlly entered into the wrong challenge

I was going to submit a Rock and Roll themed picture. I was surprised no one thought of something similar.

nevermind, some people did.

Oliver - I think the one you entered was great for the challenge, but also like the outtake. The outtake is "cleaner" and a pleasing image, but lacks just a bit of the soul of the entry.

Your entry is better in my opinion, I loved it and gave it a 10.

It happened again for this chalenge. I missed the submission deadline by a matter of seconds. Here are 2 of my choices, please comment on what you think.

I did have a spoof in the making of Andy Warhol's famous six pack of Marilyn Monroes. I had bought six boxes of Quaker Oatmeal, but couldn't find six appropriate bowls or a setup rig to hold them in two columns of 3 and allowing the proper lighting. I will do that one later.

1) I happened apon a Street Photography category, it was shot from the drivers's window of my minivan while stopped at an exit driveway of a coffeeshop. Dancing in the streets with the Hula Hoops of Pop Culture would've been better.

2) Another all time, well known Pop Culture Icon, the "Big Boy" of the slower foods, Diner-Style restaurants. Franchises still available.
