Join this DPL team! (Team Suck/AU5 related)

Well, I read in the "DPL sign ups are open" thread that there are no captain-specific controls for DPL. This allows me with confidence to create a team.

I am looking for members who have been related to Team Suck or AU5 in some way. You don't have to have been a member but you DO need to share the philosophy that we have.

This team's goal is NOT going to be to win. That makes sense when you know what Team Suck has always been about - learning, expanding our creativity, etc. A quote about us: Team Suck, a ragtag group of militia... um... photographers who compatriate more than compete, more interested in winging than winning, in love than lustre. We don't let a low score get in the way of a dream! As our seditious philosophy gained ground, our ranks grew, until we became more than just a team. We became a league of teams in wholesome if not entirely serious competition with each other. And that's the way we all became Team Suck.

Average Under Five's philosophy can be described like this: My average vote received is under a 5.0, and I'm happy with that. Would I like to score better? Well sure. Would I like to improve my photographic skills and ability? Definitely. But I'm also comfortable with my photography and happy that it is where it is right now. Sometimes I enter challenges with an entry I'm not content with, but most of the time I'm happy with my entries. And when I'm happy about them, it takes a lot to get me down. Most importantly, I don't want to conform to anybody else's idea of good or high scoring photography.

So to sum up -
To join the DPL team I am creating you DO NOT have to have an average under five, and you DO NOT have to be part of Team Suck or AU5 (though I will give preference, if there is an abundance of interest, to people who participate in those two threads) but you MUST be comfortable with these philosophies and MUST have demonstrated that in the past.

Oh ... I have already accepted ... but does that mean that I MUST enter every challenge that I qualify to enter? ... I hope not ...

No I do not believe you do, but obviously your team only benefits from your entries if you.. enter. ;)

I seldom participate in the forums because I simply don't have time to do that and take pictures and do pp and live a life outside of dpc (work, family, etc). However, having read your philosophy posted above, I feel I would fit in well with your team, and would be honored to join if you still need members.

All have open invitations, remember that you need to go to the DPL team page and accept them so that the team can be set up properly :)
