It seems the normal card size minus about 2 teams is:

300x396...... i searched the threads trying to find an explanation on why they chose that over say 300 x 400?

well everyone knows i'm awake.

The cards I made are 297 x 400. You can make them any size you want.

Our little ones are 52x70 or something like that.

Well they were all pretty standard from the begining but then when people started modifying my template sizes started to change and more so when the newer teams started making their own cards from scratch.

Are you talking about the WPL logo? I created the last one seen below but the other versions Scott created.

If you need the PSD to it let me know.

here is my DPL logo if anyone wants to use it.

I made the logo big so it is smooth at the smaller size i needed for the card.

and here is my card. If anyone wants the PSD so they can make thier own PM me and I will send you the file.

BTW the logo is based on an old WPL3 logo but I am not sure who made it. The card is based off of Yanko's creation.

As far as making it big so its smooth, well 1 with Gif's you cant have trans parent anti aliasing. But if you Anti Alias the text and save it as a PNG and use that to paste down onto images the anti-aliasing will be preserved through alpha transparency.

ANd of course using the PSd like you have to save it also helps.

But dont forget to use anti aliasing on text openignt he option dialog on it works. You have options like smooth, strong, crip, sharp. Helps counter the jaggies.

That logo was done by swhiddon. I don't think I have it as a separate file and I know I don't have the PSD for it. I think what he used was one of Photoshop's "globe" symbols and then applied a bevel effect to it. Might be easier to just recreate it rather than work with a flatten file.
