I have small hands and it fits well for me. I haven't had any issues with mine, but I also haven't used it to it's full capacity yet though either.

High ISO noise levels will not be so good, but many people love the camera as it produces outstanding image quality and believe the both kit lenses to be far superior to any other kit lenses offered by the competetion. The camera is currently going out of production because Olympus has come out with two new offereings...the E410 and E510. Unless the price for this E-500 is really low, I would urge you to save your money and get the E-510 because it has built in image stablization, which means that all your lenses will be image stablized. A big plus for low light photography.

Hi, i love my e-500, but, i find noise is kind of a issue. but that was before i knew how to get rid of some in photoshop... i think its a good entry SLR camera. It has phenomenal glass, and thats a good thing. but with that said, i would buy the E-510, ive never used IS, but i hear its a god send in low light...

If you want to see some great shots taken with the e-500 go and take a look at gsal.

I have heard a number of people mention the noise issue but to a degree I guess that's a personal thing, there are many other aspects to the camera as well.

It has to be said though that although I used to own and love Olympus kit, Canon and Nikon do have a lot more kit available.
