I would like to buy a cheapo like REALLY cheapo cam for someone who is getting into photography. If anyone has a cheapcheap old cam or something they are willing to part with for nominal fees, could you let me know on email (I'm unfortunately not here much these days).

I'd suggest a Canon S30, but mine cost me almost $700. I hate yahoo auctions, they'll let someone rip you off and won't give you any information about that person.

You should be able to get a used one now for pretty cheap though. I'd suggest eBay.

Go to WalMart, talk to the photo manager and ask them if they have any old demo models behind the counter. They will often sell them for very cheap (< $50.00). This is also possible at BestBuy, though usually not quite so cheap.

Depends on the cam. But I'm really looking to help someone find a home for a cam they no longer use and don't really want.

:) (it's for a 10 year old who never puts mine down).
