Of course I'll still respect you in the morning...

When I stepped on you, I got love all over my boots.

Hmmm I wonder if a curvy line will get DNMC. I wonder if a line segment qualifies since its hard to photograph infinity. I wonder how many people will try the escher hand. I wonder why I think a highway will be in the top 3.

There is no "I" in "Team", but there are four in "Platitude-Quoting Idiot".

I suspect at least half of the images will be of a street line, line on a game field, or a wire of some sort (clothes line, power line, etc.) And yes, can the line be curved? Bent? Broken? I hate it when qualifiers like "of some sort" show up in challenge descriptions.

Just to string it along... What about string? Would a Jacob's ladder still be 'A Single' line? What about an unbroken spiderweb?

The voters will certainly answer all of these questions and more in just a few days! And we all know the voters are ALWAYS right! :-)

Could I just take a picture of Henny Youngman's grave?

Technically, I would say yes, but the DPC voters wouldn't understand. Unfortunately, they are probably looking for a line where they do not have to interpret anything.

Again, thanks for bashing myself and other voters. Voters = members. Disrespect the voter, you disrespect the members. Pretty simple.

Dude, don't take it so personally. Those of us how have been around here for years know the truth of Les' statement. Its not bashing, just a simple statement of truth. Something as complicated as described above would never score well as "Single Line" because, in general, and consistenly over time, DPC voters like a simple interpretation of the challenge. It wasn't a personal attack.

My questions were tongue-in-cheek to begin with because I've been around long enough to know what the voters would consider "controversial".

Always remember that people go for what they like, not what is necessarily good. Hence the sales of more cheeseburgers than broccoli, thereby leading to heart disease and obesity. In the "art world" it means that more people thought Titanic was a good movie than approved of say Casablanca, thereby proving that people today are likely suffering from aesthetic coronary blockage.

3 out of 4 doctors of art doctors agree we all need a popular crap bypass to bring us back to at least temporary health.

Well cheeseburgers do not necessarily lead to heart disease as the myths would have you believe, it depends on how the meat, cheese, etc. are processed -- not the food itself that is inherently bad. If you eat it closer to the way God made it, you'll be fine. But that is a different subject altogether. :)

But more importantly -- what does Art Roflmao think of your image. That's the true barometer.

Then, as his brain resumes functioning, he realizes that all man can do is combine the things God made. Man creates nothing tangible. We cannot create elements, only combine them.

Uh, oh... the DPC rules clearly state that your entries must be created by you. If you claim otherwise, we'll have to DQ them all. Let's see here... 30 entries with doubling penalties... you'd be suspended for about 5 million years. ;-)

No, you're the only one making that claim. The rest of the DPC world acknowledges their own authorship.
