I did not set out to shoot for this challenge, but when I found the engineer ducky at the Illinois Railway Museum, well, I just I had to try a few. Actually quite pleased with 5.4944 on this entry:

Outakes:

I actually like the last one best, but didn't think people would recognize the ducky is actaully on a real locomotive so I went with the one where it was obvious.

Did have you preferred these over this?

Anyone think the 2nd one would have been a better entry? Title was going to be something like: one of these ducks is not like the other....

I first submitted

Ducktor Who (Fourth Doctor)

But was not sure it was well known enough to be recognized.

My entry

Dah! Got the lighting right but completely forgot to shoot at a lower angle to get an interesting perspective like I did in the first 2 shoots.

As I mentioned that this was a result of 3 shoots over 3 days.
Shoot 1

Lights were not enough to blow out (turn white) edges on right hand side.

Shoot 2

I liked the angle and position of the ducks but due to a fold in the cloth you see a shadow that the lights were not able to blow out (turn white) in exposure on top right.

Okay, back and had two shots to choose from: This one which I did enter:

And this one which would be the outtake:

I had the kids vote on which one to enter and with my vote it was a tie! So I went with my vote, what do you thinK?

Not sure this would have done any better

But pretty sure it wouldn't have done any worse!

I didn't get to enter this challenge. I was submitting the punk duck at 11:55 when my computer decided to have a mental breackdown. I was hoping to get some constructive criticism out of it. I don't think they would have placed high.
