We wanted to let you know of a new site feature for Members: you can now add to the Photographer Notes section of your submission during voting. This feature can be accessed from the Portfolio Manager. Enjoy your new toy!

Nice!

Nice! but how? I don't have anything in voting stage now so I don't see how we can do it. Will it be just like editing a profile pic?

Aaah, at last.

i just tried to add a link to my original file, but the "thumbs" button wouldn't work... I just typed the "[thumb]" code in which should still work... but the button wouldn't work...

Thumb button works for me. Perhaps a cache clearing would work for the OP?

No more fun just for me. :(

@ Shutter-For-Hire -- it looks like you are trying to link to an image that is in a gallery you have marked "Private."
09/14/2008 04:17:15 PM · #11
yea, it's the original file of the challenge, so I have the gallery hidden so nobody can see the original files and figure out which entry is mine...
09/14/2008 04:18:10 PM · #12
ok.. now it works... much have been a problem with my browser...
09/14/2008 04:19:10 PM · #13
is that the way to do it? if I want to show my original file in my description do I hide the photo in my protfolio, and then when teh results come in, I un-hide it?

Right. The site honors your "Private" preferences in galleries that you set up. Try the Workshop instead. Another way might be to host the photo that you want to link to off-site.

ok, but what exactly is the workshop for anyways?

Great addition. I've wanted to do this a number of times in the past. Keep up the good work!

On the subject of the workshop (he says, going off on a tangent) I would really like the ability to transfer from the workshop straight into a challenge submission.

Currently I tend to put different versions into the workshop to view them, then reload the one I choose into the challenge.

Can this simple facility be added ?

That's true, unless the image is linked somewhere or someone stumbles on the Image ID by accident.
09/14/2008 04:35:47 PM · #22
ok... so the pics in my workshop are hidden UNLESS I link directly to that image in a forum or pic description?
09/14/2008 04:36:51 PM · #23
Correct

You previously used the CC checkbox to add comments during challenges didn't you?

This is a great feature for those last minute entries. Thanks!
