Ok Jason....didn't want to hijack that other thread.

What about that show?

Battlestar Galactica.

Being in the industry that pays my bills that also provides distractions from life, I hate what is on television.

BG is an exception to my hatred.

The production value alone is awesome. The writing is amazing. The characters you can relate to, or just want to get to know better. The lighting and atmosphere awesome. The effects and the animation seamless.

Do you agree Jason?

the only reason I opened this is because I saw the word Cylons
I wonder.....what are they going to do.. rebuild...???

I have only seen partial seasons, none of 3.

I am waiting for the DVD compilation to come out.

Did the cylons and the humans become friends?

Did they find Earth?

09/24/2008 12:14:58 AM · #4
Yup they found it
and I wouldnt exactly say friends, but ya they worked together to find it
it left off where they landed, and earth was in ruins and then.. the end see ya next season!

I love the show. Only 3 seasons in. I must say the mini series was freaking incredible. I was on the edge of my futon the whole time! 2 episodes were awful, but the rest was good.

I'm telling ya.

From my perspective in working in the biz, this is a gem of a show.

All tv shows follow a format, BG is no different. The difference is the quality put forth in the show.

I have missed most of the first two seasons, and haven't seen any of the third.

So....is there a 4th season brewing?

Have you seen any DVD compilations out yet?

'Scuse me butting in to your thread but...

OMG I LOOOOOVE BSG

Second season provided 2 of the best mins of TV in the world ever! (ship, jump, orbit - need I say more) I cant wait till January when season 5 starts to air (or does it count as the last half of season 4?)

Some of them become very good friends in the process ;)

edited to correct season numbers!

They're calling it Season 4. Aren't they? They've split up the fourth season into two parts: the first part aired this year, the next part starts up in January.

The DVD set for Season 2 is split up, also: Season 2.0 and Season 2.5. Mo' money!

BSG is the best show on television. Period. I hope the spin-off is half as good.

Agreed the quality of writing that provides many layers thematically and many layers to the characters is just one of the main reasons that makes it a quality show. The second is the actors who flesh out the characters and can act. Third, and seen the least, is the team of people who work behind the show. Without those three factors working together flawlessly, the show would not be what it is.

Love the show - it has a great many discussion points and is rich with themes and characters who are fully 3 dimensional.

I am looking forward to the last season coming up. What I was not happy with is what Sci-Fi is/was going to do originally. Break up the last season into two parts and spread it out over two years (can you say milking it for what it is worth). I do hope that the offshoot series Caprica will hold the same quality as BSG and hope Sci-Fi doesn't pull a fast one like what the industry tried to do with B5 Crusade (the offshoot of Babylon 5)

This is the first show that I would probably watch the spinoff of.

If you had your choice would you be a Cylon or a Human?

Think I would be a Cylone. They seem slightly more stable mentally. I would want to be one of the very attractive fleshy girlie cylons ofc

I would be a Cylon, but I would have to be one of the ones that re-generates. I tend to get hurt often.

They did break up the last season and split it up over two years. We only got ten episodes in 2008, with the last ten coming next year, beginning in January.

Caprica is supposed to air this December. It's a prequel of sorts that tells the story of the Adama family and possibly the beginnings of the Cylons. There may be a connection.

I decided to bring this back up, because those old Cylons in season 4(?) were AWWWWWESOME.

I read somewhere that said Obama is the final Cylon...

I used to love the original when I was a kid. So I was very sceptical of the remake. Frankly, the original was junk compared to the remake.
