update as of 04/05/09: ONGOING IMAGE THREAD - KEEP 'EM COMING!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Let the month of nostalgia begin!

As i mentioned in the sign-up thread no rules except that your original photo must be or must have been taken on an analog medium (film, slide, photographic paper, polaroid,...).
Please try to comment on as many pictures as you want. If you can please also share information on when the picture was shot, what medium it was taken on and what method for digitazing you use (as many here seem to have problems with that part of the game...)

Be free to jump in whenever you like and i'll add you to the list.

Holga with Polaroid back of my son Kevin. Scanned into PS Elements 6. Only PP was touching up dust spots from scanner and resizing. Went through a pack of film to get one keeper! It will be cheaper to mix up some chemicals and shoot 120. Haven't done that in about 30 years.

Hope you guys don't mind me crashing the party. This is a great idea for a challenge and I could use a productive distraction. I'll break out and dust off the analog equipment so I can post some new stuff, but here are some new-ish polaroids taken last summer at Millennium Park here in Chicago. I got turned on to the old Land cameras right about the time when Polaroid folded its tents for good. Nice to see some people picking up the torch and making new films for these great cameras.

Shot on T400CN. Everything I will post will be scanned on my Nikon scanner.

I liked T400CN, but I have to admit I was never in love with it. I just never really cared for the tonal range. I went through a real period where I was incredibly fascinated by electrical poles and power.

@Bazz... 645N sweet. I have one of the Pentax 645 MF- fabulous camera, incredible optics. This shot was a 35mm, but I'll throw in some of my medium format later in the month.

Chosen for content, not quality. This is what it looks like in the Florida Everglades at the edge of the sawgrass country. It's interesting that the tree snails on each of the little islands in the area are different from island to island.

This one was taken about 8 weeks ago at one of our local Ice Creameries in St.Kilda
The fluoro lighting gave off an interesting color cast.

Yeah the 645N is a beauty to handle...only thing it's missing is a rear LCD. I need something to make me stop chimping at the film insert after each shot. :)

Does anyone else do that or is it just me?

Looking forward to seeing your 645 shots.

I took four photos with my film camera today - only tried chimping on the second one, then realised it was all in vain.

this one was taken with a holga and i'm proud of it because i developed and scanned the negatives all by myself :D i know, big deal...
769874.jpg

intentionally double exposed this one, but it pales in comparison to what i've seen from 21_F.gif cpanaioti earlier in the thread

I had printing adventures tonight! I'll scan and post tomorrow :):)

(let's just say that the Dektol didn't behave...)

ETA: and the 2x teleconverter that I've been using makes my lens act a LITTLE bit like a lensbaby...!!! I'll have to try a couple shots wide open next time....!!

K, I'm a moron, but my copier/printer/scanner doesn't have negative capabilities...do I just scan the original photo? Or can I lay the film/slide right on the glass and scan? I don't want to ruin my negs.
(Maybe this was a bad idea on my part, lol!!)
