Could somebody point out what exactly are we supposed to do coz' I'm kinda lost. 2-3 examples would be great.

I think, something like this would be a good example. Many small flowers stirred up in a bowl of water.

I would agree with that just because there is something in the center that is in focus. The challenge instructions say "Create a photo that uses abstract motion by either by moving your camera during exposure or by photographing a moving object" so my idea is to pan the camera and have all but the main item in focus, or have the BG in focus and something else out like a set of cars on a busy street. But then again it would have to be abstract so a street would have to be completely blurry so it becomes a ton of colors instead of a definable street.

I personally don't think that there needs to be a defined subject in the shot, but other voters might.
