Well I sort of had a bummer of a day yesterday that turned out pretty good. My Canon 40d that I bought not even 3 weeks ago started acting funny out of nowhere. I started to notice that my photos were getting blurry no matter the settings within the camera or what I did. At first I thought it was the idiot behind the view finder (lol). So I started doing some research online and everything I found was saying that the auto-focus on the camera was going out. So I drove over to the store that I bought it from here in Houston and told them what the problem was and what the camera was doing. They understood and without any questions she told me that they did not have any in stock at all to replace it with. Bummer right? So she was extremely polite about it all and told me that she could give me a store credit for another camera or my money back. I took the credit not really wanting to drive all over Houston just to find everyone else was way more expensive.

After thinking that I was going to be without my 40d for a couple of weeks, not 5 minutes after I walked in the door she had called telling me that she had one sent over to replace it. However she only had one, so I asked if she would be kind enough to hold it for me. I had gotten to the store and she had gone to lunch but had it sitting in the locked store-room.

Moral of the story is just when you think all politeness and hope of common courtesy in the business world is gone you find yourself surprised. She really went out of her way to make sure that I was taken care of. I was impressed enough that I left a note for the store manager about the young lady. What is great is that this store is a high volume store so my purchase of a $1300 (after tax) camera would be nothing to them.

Just thought I would share a good story, thanks for reading

It's good to hear about that. No doubt the management at that store deserves some credit as well for allowing their employees the autonomy needed to do someone right.
