I wish i could be in this one!
This is unfair, we can participate puzzle macro, but abstract is too much?

Don't forget Puzzle Macro II for some additional inspiration. (I'm too lazy to search out puzzle macro I)

Someone told me this is not abstract enough, but i really enjoyed doing this shot, and i like the result!
I would go with something like this in this challenge:

Looks abstract enough for me... I haven't a clue what it is.

Decorative plastic green apple in movement at the bottom and kind of a decorative pot at the top.

I'm working on my macro image but having looked at the results of the Abstract Macro II challenge I am having reservations about what can or cannot be used in terms of filters. Nobody seems to have used any Artistic Filters for effects such as 'coloured foil' or chrome. Looking through the Advanced Editing rules I can't see anything to prevent their use - or have I missed some key wording? The 'chrome effect' does dramatic things to the colour but is it altering other aspects of the image that would disqualify the final result? Some advice would be appreciated.

For the ribbon challenge, I was unsure of whether or not my entry crossed the line. Just send a message to Site Council, they got back to me within 24 hours (give or take), and told me that 3 out of 5 SC members that viewed the image thought it was illegal... so I did a re-edit to make it legal. They will tell you if your filters are legal too.

Tip: Don't ask for guidance from the SC the day before the challenge deadline and expect a timely answer. Plan ahead and ask a few days before it's due.
