Hey, Leadville has some rather famous history -- I used one of the stories about it as the basis for this collage ...

Back from the roadtrip to Leadville. I'm a tried puppy going to go take a shower and be a sofa spud.
Deb saw lots of RV's for sale on the way to Leadville, also a popup camper if that's a option.

Deb, come back to Yorkshire. I want to show you:

Brimham Rocks, an area of amazing geological features caused by erosion

Whitby - Yorkshire may not have the prettiest coast line, but a trip to Whitby for fish and chips is a must:

Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, one of my favourite places for a gentle 4 mile saunter on a Sunday afternoon

The Yorkshire Dales

The ruined abbeys and castles

Knaresborough, where I spend half my time

And so, so much more.....

Have I done enough to convince her, do you think?
08/22/2009 03:37:24 AM · #30
Wow. OK, I think you win! I just need to figure a time and I'll be out there. Where's the best place to fly into? :-)

Leeds-Bradford, and me or Peter can pick you up from the airport, or Manchester and it is a direct train journey across the Penines. I am busy most of September - going down to Cambridge for a weekend and to Corfu for two weeks!

Deb, don't forget Michigan when you're on your travels! I'm in the process of moving to the north. Beautiful Topinabee, MI.
They have a post office, a store (a party store with a deli), a library, a thrift store, a bar and a beach. (Everything you need!) My new view is awesome! The lake is across the road and I can see the beautiful sunrise on Mullet Lake. Visit any time!

Williamsburg, VA! We've got the historic traingle: Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg. See where it all began! (sorry, can't meet the bluebirds, though. They seem to have flown the coop. Haven't seen them for about 3 weeks...)

And Deb, you must hit NJ. Doors will be open and waiting for you.

There is so much to see in Arizona, and several DPCers to show you around. You really must add it to your itinerary!

I was in Arzona for about one day, during Spring Break back in 1969 ... we got to the Grand Canyon about noon, hiked to the bottom and ate lunch, hiked back out (we caught a mule train which had almost a half-way headstart -- "lucky us"), camped at a Forest Service camp (free), woke up and it was snowing so we packed up and left for Joshua Tree ... :-(

And we could all meet up! I don't have a spare room, but I do have a sofa bed.

The desert southwest has to be one of the coolest places on the earth. When my husband got his Ph.D., we went to arches, grand canyon, bryce, and zion. It was so incredible!

Well Deb it looks like what ever you do, you will have lots of places to visit. You can start on the west coast and go east and then go north or south. It looks like you could travel for about a year and not run out of places to go :-)

ugh, i hardly slept last night. i dreamed all night that i had some company doing editing for me on my photos as like a demo to see if i wanted to hire them, so i thought it was for free. but i started getting nervous cause i thought they were going to charge me $450 for all the photos. so i woke up like 10 times and tossed and turned and checked my phone for emails all night trying to figure out if they were going to charge me.

i must be demented or something. either that or i work too much:/

Ribbons!

Congrats to vawendy for getting the top TS score!

Note: Sorry to be MIA on the TSFU. I'll try to get back on that. Things have been ... hectic here.

Ok, I'll peek again on Tuesday, when that 8 has shifted over a bit, and a 3 or 4 has taken its place.

It was because of Judi's presence, guiding it along its way! But now that it's over, maybe someone could please tell me how in the world to grab something as complicated as hair and separate it from the background to put it on a different background! There's got to be an easier way!

Just get some "costume hair" and glue it to the box ... ;-)

I still have you in my scripts (the functionally official roster) in Team Butterflies.

So this is where everyone went.

I have some shots from a model shoot and some head shots of my oldest son Caleb that I will need someone to have a look see.

I'll be doing the edits tonight, any takers??

MAX!
