How about another color challenge? I thought there were some brilliant photos in the "Red" challenge. It gives a definite, indisputable ;-) guideline while leaving it wide open for creativity and interpretation.

I like the idea :) Maybe even a challenge where the theme of 'color' doesn't have to be a specific color. The photo would just need to have a single color theme :)

I we do color, I do not think it should be limited to a single color, just have color(s) playinga strong part of it.

For what I am thinking, something like the winner of "City Life" would work.

Hmm...that might be too vague though. Every photo has color in it, after all...unless it's B&W of course. :-) One dominant color would be more cohesive, I think.

I do not like limits, and very few picture really emphasize color. But, I hardly ever have the popular view point.

To me, a mono chrome image may as well be black and white.

I agree with kathleenm. The "Red" challenge had some great photos and a challenge with one single color would be much more challenging than using all colors.

I think you can do a lot of neat things with 'duotone' images rather than just a flat black and white...

If you remember, there were a few photos in the black and white challenge that had color. Monochrome means one color, not lack of color.

But as I said, my opinions are usually not popular.

I think monochrome doesn't describe a black and white photo well since it's actually a grayscale image... I use the term 'monochrome' or 'duotone' fairly interchangeably... it's probalby incorrect but i can if i wanna :)

I think the color challenge idea brings out the best in creativity while focusing efforts. I'd prefer a specific color.

Specific color would probalby be good.. i think that nice solid spedific colors set on a simple background make nice images...

someone earlier somewhere mentioned doing a white on white challenge... That would really be a challenge.. :)

Choose a color (roy g biv) and have it be the focus of your photo, would work, but I think it's interesting to see how different people portray an assigned color.

well, red has been done already.. this is a good thing :) My camera doesn't like red is certain situations... Maybe we could do a color that would present a tougher challenge... Green would be too easy... something like white, yellow, blue.. ??

Thanks John, but I don't think it would be allowed because it's a captured videoshot.
It just made me think of another challenge suggestion though: Pets and owners that look like each other :)
