OK I am a homophobe in my own right.I just don't like guy/guy...However it is everyone's decision what a person wants to be..... I don't know what else to say

Interesting. One of my friends has several photos of him and another guy kissing and whatnot and they have been up for a couple of years. Maybe its because the photos suck and are snapshots... I don't know but that does suck and is a bit ridiculous.

Btw great shot.

Are you sure that's the image that got your page taken down? Doesn't make any sense if it is.

Yeah but try G+ or most anywhere else... same thing... companies scared of lawsuits from the whackos so they just react. The world needs to get over itself in so many way.....

Well screw Fb. The photograph is great in itself.

Personally I like the photo and I've seen some pretty racy stuff posted (Don't know if it survived or was deleted eventually) but I'd say that with an image like that one you're walking the line for their Terms of Use, the clause below:

I've posted a link to your video on facebook... I've seen lots worse photos as far as nudity goes being kept up there, so I agree, they are using nudity as an excuse it seems.

While I'm on Facebook, I really don't spend any time there, other than communicating with friends. So, I have to confess I know little about all the settings there. I do know that here, you can decide whether or not you want to see more "mature" images. I don't know whether or not that is possible on FB. However, that being said... I think the image that was taken down, is more take than what can be seen on billboards along the highway, or on network TV. As far as it being homo-pick-your-favorite-suffix, I don't think the standard should be any different. If it is acceptable on FB for two members of the opposite sex to be pictured in a certain way, then the same should be true of same sex.

Whether or not it is appealing to me is irrelevant. In the feast II challenge, there was an image that was absolutely repulsive, to me. There wasn't a single thing about it that I could say I though was appealing. At the same time, that individual has just as much right to submit that image as I have had for any of mine.

Perhaps that is the results of discovering just how bad the situation truly is.

Mmmm, yep. Though I think that we are infinitely better off than we were 30 years ago. Most young folks have more open minds. Or perhaps my opinion is skewed because we taught our children to respect others who may be different from us.

Edit for typo

Firstly, although there probably should be settings to hide adult content on FB just like here on DPC, I am not for censorship. But perhaps most thread readers here are missing the point. I think, only assuming, that the point is that Facebook is not truly homophobic, but a clever attempt to twist Facebook's own logic in other situations regarding not removing certain content on the flipside- by saying, in the reverse, that not allowing the display of Lesbian near-porn is somehow discriminatory against all Homosexuals.

But the true argrument may be based upon decency or against censorship in general, not a shoehorned claim of bias against "lesbians and depictions of non-lesbian couples" on the part of FB. Unless I am the one missing the point entirely, which I may be.

Oh, I don't think you've missed the point :-)
I *do* think that if the photos had shown one of the gals with a guy, not the other gal, that there would have been no removal. Of course that's a hypothetical, it's impossible to prove. So my admittedly cynical attitude is that whomever made the decision to remove the photos did have a bias.
Do I think the photos are appropriate for Facebook? No, I do not. Are they soft porn? Yes, IMO, they are (note the IMO).

Porn? Seriously? There are perfume ads screening just now which contain worse.

Most folk out there (from my region of the world anyway) would have no problem with the image.

ETA: I agree that calling it homophobic is just trying to ignite a fire which isn't there. I imagine they took it down because they thought it was too sexually explicit. No wonder a whole generation is growing up repressed!

You can hate the lifestyle but not the people, it doesn't make you homophobic. I find that most times people use the word they are just trying to be inflammatory, like playing the "race card"

the thing i find ironic is that if someones dares say they think a homosexual lifestyle is wrong, everyone wants to jump on them and call them "closed-minded", not realizing that when you comdemn someone for how they feel you are being just as closed-minded as you claim they are
