Can anyone direct me to a place that i can get some cheap flyers? I'm not getting any traffic from my website and just from word of mouth i'm not getting any jobs. I just need 100 for now. maybe even 50.

Anyone else do this? Or has anyone done it in the past?

I thought of Kinkos, but they are not cheap!! $ 200 for 250!!...seems to be the cheapest.

Will keep looking I guess

I would look for a small local litho/print shop. I live a few hours south of you, or I would recommend mine. I have a small litho shop here is Camas that charges about $0.20 ea double sided and full color. I made a couple flyers for my father-in-law's Mayor campaign, and also a flyer for my wife's business. Example flyers

Small and local is the way to go!

I agree ... buying local is also how we can start to rebuild the economy -- GoldmanSachs doesn't print flyers ...

Unfortunately you are in the "donut hole" of print pricing -- it usually doesn't start to get cheaper than printing yourself until you get up to around 500 copies. You might consider printing/copying a B&W flyer and gluing on an actual 4x6 photo ... that combo should cost under 20-25 centa/copy ...

some of my band clients have been happy with large format posters, both in terms of quality and price.

How about Vistaprint?

Thanks for the suggestions thus far.

My flyers need to be printed in color and i only want them 8x10 or 8.5x11. So i guess i dont want them super big. I have another question though too. I need a different format for my website and i was wondering if any of you know of some free ones or atleast non expensive ones. I want it to look good though. Right now my site is like a blog, and i dont mind that, but i would prefer one that is like a portfolio. any suggestions there?

If it's not too late I would recommend PrintPlace flyers. I've tried this company, and got some high quality prints.

It is not tough to find printing services providers, those provide best quality at reasonable price. The best and simple way to find them is Google. You have just need to choose one of them.

This is an easy question to answer. Let the client buy them. If you do it you should be marking up the cost of the flyers, your time to procure them and provide them to the client. Be their marketer not the supplier of basic materials like the flyers.

Hmm.

Can you possibly explain what the hell made you or your boss think that printingwaiter.com is a good domain name?

Maybe should also look into buying businessconsultingdishwasher.com , lawyerplumber.com , proctologistpainter.com , and gynecologistgarbageman.com before someone else snaps up those amazing domain names.

Seriously though, who the hell would want a waiter doing their printing. You spambots get more ridiculous all the time. Someone should stick your tongues to frozen flagpoles and leave you to the starving polar bears.

Careful, Cory. You're heading down a slippy slope... ;-)

Not unintentionally. :) I like skiing, and it's my little tribute to a friend. I'll try to never miss slapping a spambot with a flagpole assault joke.

Of course, I'll never actually really threaten the spambot, since that is against the TOS, and I'll definitely not start any gladiator threads, since that is against good sense.

..

I miss Slippy.

We used to print up flyers to market our RE Photography business but it's a numbers game.. something like 2% reply or response. So we had to print up a lot of flyers and do "drops" at RE offices. My business partner was able to print these up in the hundreds on an igen press where he worked but he no longer has access to an igen. We have shopped around for prices on copies of 8.5 X 11 one-side flyers and it's cost-prohibitive to do it this way. The cheapest we found was Office Max but we couldn't afford enough to make it worthwhile.

I have used GotPrint before. The quality seemed good. Not sure how the prices compare with other companies.
