Hi guys,
i have a jab interview with Our365 baby photography. Does anybody here have any experience with them.

I currently only sell my stuff on the microstock sites but have been looking to break into other areas, esp portrait photography and thought Our365 could be a nice lead in and offer me training to eventually break off and do this kinda thing on my own.

If anyone here knows anything about these guys, i'd love to hear your feedback.

Thanks :)

I looked into it a little bit for my wife. By a little bit I mean so little I wouldn't take anything I say seriously.
It seemed like more of a 'Sales' type job to me. Yeah, you get access to take photos of newborns, but then you are to try to sell said prints to the family, and that is where your pay comes from, while Our365 takes a cut. I thought it seemed to be a bit more sales job than actual photography. Where photography, generally people come to you wanting pictures, instead of you taking pictures and trying to sell them to people. I didn't look into any of the requirements or anything, but it really appeared they took on anyone that wanted to take the pics.

Me personally I just can't do baby photography, takes someone that is not me to do that.

I am, however, intrigued to see what others say and think about Our365.

ive posted this message around havent gotten much feedback. maybe its a reflection in itself. id have thought more photographers on the net would have been familiar with these guys. i do see quite alot of negative reviews from customers. although, im pretty confident with some direction with use of lighting id do a bang up job. i understand they provide use of all the equipment whereas other places want you to use your own. ii guess thats a plus. but i hate sales. a bit worried it'll take the joy outta of.

If it's anything like the baby photography when I had my kids, it's simply a camera that's mounted straight down, it does the lighting, it's rolled over the baby bassinet and takes the shot straight down. There really isn't anything to adjust. But then again, you're taking pictures of 1 day old newborns. That's why they take anyone -- because no skill is necessary or used. But then again, you're taking pictures of newborns. :)

That sounds painful/dangerous. You should perfect the "three stooges eye-gouge block"
