I'm thrilled. 17th for Macro IV. I didn't enter Blue Moon, but Miniature and Feet look considerably better. :-)

My 17th place finish in Blue Moon really makes me happy - thanks to all of you who voted.

My Macro shot is almost right in the middle in the 55th percentile but that isn't really bad for me. As long as I'm over the 50th percentile I'm happy!

73rd in Blue, for my first ever entry

would have been submitted if I was a paying member... it was taking in the time limit too. 80mm macro. First time i've gotten closer than my lens could focus.

//img27.exs.cx/img27/9051/kyeboshbee.jpg for large version :-)

is this ok? how do you do the image link i've seen?

if I am still breathing at the end of the day, I am happy.

I'm doubly delighted with my finish in Blue Moon. I finished 14th with my highest score ever, a 6.25ish. That would be treat enough, but I took the picture with the crummiest lens I own -- an old Canon 35-80 kit lens from an old film Canon Rebel G. I was just horsing around with the lens to see if I could get a decent picture from it, and voila! a dragonfly posed for me. I'm still shaking my head at my good fortune!

My best placement in AGES... Would have liked to been higher, but refuse to complain. The tribe has spoken...

I had my best placement in a long time in the Macro challenge... with a cliche flower shot :)

It was not cliche. It was stunning.

Way to go to Jacko and Kirbic!!! you guys rock!

I got mine both of 5.0, which is an accomplishment for me, since I usually have a hard time getting over 5. Not that great, but I was excited to have that many.

I was up for DQ on my "blue" shot and still ended up with only a 4.3ish mark. My first DQ query. Not bad for only 4 challenge entries lol :)

I don't think there is anything that could be considered a cliche about your photography. You bring a fresh perspective to even the most overdone topics.

In the immortal words of zeuszen:

"My friends have discovered that I often take shots of the same things, but I don't see it this way. Nothing is ever the same."

Nothing is overdone either.
