against the DPC Voting Rule "You may not give an entry a lower score because you believe it violates the Challenge Rules". That is for the SC to determine.

The purpose of the thread is to be a heads up to the new members that may not have FULLY read the site's Voting Rules and possibly a friendly reminder to the old timers who may have forgotten this rule.

It just makes me wonder if any other DPCer's who may use the technique of picture cutouts (taken within the challenge dates of course) or words printed on paper that are part of the subject of the shot were voted down in the past due to the voter perception it was illegal.

I gave it a 6, the lettering actually bumped it from a 5, for me the rest of the image wasn't really sharp enough. But yes, 5 1 votes was rather harsh.

Yes, that is where the bell curve is 'unusual'. When measuring this against my other body of work, honestly it is not my best - there are many works in the Empty challenge that are by far better than mine.

But I digress, the main focus is that in appearances it seems a few voters were not following the DPC site rules - I just wanted to bring that rule to light for those who may not remember or read the full rules so that any other DPCer who uses the same techniques will hopefully not suffer the low votes in the future.
