Don't rest easy just yet - there is still the backlog queue!! And there's a lot there to critique :-)

I thought that 'Queue' was going to be a challenge suggestion - might make a good one.

No point in starting a new thread when you can resurrect an old one ;)

Two thoughts...

#1 there are over 65,000 images in the critique queue and am sure many (many) of the photographers are no longer here, could we (Langdon) not just delete all but the past 12 months requests so the size of the queue is not so intimidating so 'we' can maybe see a light at the end of the tunnel?

#2 am doing a few critiques again and whilst I've not been offered one yet, if the request is over a year old and the photographer is no longer active is it ok comment on their image and ask if they still require the critique? This would serve me another request and I could continue.

Why not just start from scratch in 2016?
Making the CC's tired with an almost endless task of completing the backlog is not encouraging them to continue with new requests.

I agree!

Perhaps we could make something like a temporary "CC comment request thread", where active members have say 30 days to post links to their past challenges images for which they still want critiqued by a CC members. After 30 days the thread closes and is only available for CC members. That way we get rid of request from non-active photographers and active members get their past entries critiqued quicker. The thread could of course end up with several hundred (perhaps thousands!?) images, but is that not better than 65 000?

It would mean that one would have to go through one's personal portfolio and pick out the entries you'd still want critiqued and post the links in the thread, but it would probably be less than 2 000 images to quickly look through for most people, which should not take too long.

(Edited: number of backlogged images)

You mean 65,000 requests? Sadly it is and they really need deleting so we can start again.

It took 9 years but WooHoo...

Since your first critique on September 16 2006, you have critiqued 100 out of the 109 photographs you have selected.
