I want to see the shot, because there's such a thing as being too close. Can't quite figure out what shot would be worth doing that.

The ones standing at the guardrail aren't much brighter. Those things are not impenetrable force fields. I've been at a track and had a car come through the fence near where I was. I was a lot further back from the fence than those guys, and it was a bit too close a call for my liking. I also learned I could run a lot faster than I thought.

I don't imagine a lot of you on here know a lot about drifting.. But that car is moving away from him laterally right now...

I know about drifting, and I did realize it wasn't as extreme a situation to be in as it looks, but even so, that's an absurd place to put yourself, ON the course... |

Not anymore. But I'm a car nut from way back, and a LONG time ago I attended the Bob Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, and we did 4-wheel drifting in that... I drive a little more sedately now, but I've had my moments... Anyway, I follow this drifting stuff, it's an interesting evolution in motorsports. |

It's the Arab drifting that's stunning. The death rate is stupendously high. |
