Ok well, here it is. I wish to start a photography business, but have no idea how to.
I've been a stay home mum for 18 years, and truly loved it. People have said to me I should start charging people now for my photography services.

My sister in law has asked me to take some shots of a playgroup in November, it will be for free, but they will promote me for free as well, if I have a flyer they will put that in show bags, and it will be handed out to over 1000 people, I think that's a pretty good deal.

I now however need to come up with a name, I want to specialize in child photography, and more towards 'candid' I want to capture the essence of a child, in a natural environment, somewhere they feel comfortable with, capturing their, curiosity, their innocence, and love of play.

So please feel free to give advice.

Thanks

I'm a big fan of simply using one's name.
Right now I have both CJSPhotography and ChristopherSmithPhotography registered. I prefer the former right now so I put that on my cards.
It's simple and to the point.

If you want to specialize just make sure the vast majority of the shots you put on the website lean towards that direction. Give it focus from your portfolio and not from the name.

My sister and I use Verineat for our cards, so I can't use that, my name is so boring though.

What about Anita U Photography? Just using that initial provides a bit of mystery.

Actually, that's almost perfect.

What about something like 'a.neat Photograph' (period placed for effect).
