More evidence that the opinion of the DPC collective is not the final word of what is good. I'll admit, I didn't score it terribly well, but that was due to topic fit, not image quality.

Nice shot.

And he's apparently rather modest too. ;) *(snicker.)

Skater|Coach|Icon

.. :)

Still, the photo you took actually says Icon, so I suppose you nailed that part.

So, really who the heck is this Quadzilla fellow? I'm curious.

that was one of my 10s even though it's not a window in a literal way. I love the detail on his hands. Really good portrait!

My thoughts precisely.

Well he's a celebrity of sorts, in the roller skating world. He was very well known with inline skating enthusiasts in the late 80's early 90's when it hit it's peak of popularity. Nowadays he coaches roller derby and has his own line of boots and wheels geared toward the sport.
I have actually known him for about 25 years now, met him, oddly enough when him and my older brother and I all worked at a skating rink lol

Interesting. A very fun and unusual back story - you should include it on the image - it's pretty darn cool. Plus, like I said, your picture screams Icon, I'm betting he's thrilled.

And you beat me by a single spot. Drives me nuts. At least my shoehorn had a window somewhere in the image.

Actually it doesn't bother me at all. I purposely submitted my photo because I wanted to see how voters would vote on it. All the votes above five, in my opinion, are ridiculous.

You're welcome. I think it is actually some decent street photography, technically good, and different from the pack.

Sure, but it didn't meet the challenge in any capacity. Just wanted to prove a point that some voters don't care about challenge descriptions.

From now on I'm just going to submit any photo to any challenge just to see where they end up.

Ironically I gave smardaz's photo a 7.

But it DOES meet the challenge. There's no description, just the single word "Windows". There's a window in your image. There's a guy jackhammering right next to it, leaves me wondering why the plate glass hasn't come down. The title ties it together. I thought it was a good entry. I gave it a 6.

It was as much about the window as mine was. Ironically, I gave yours a 7 as well.

Agreed with Bear_Music on this, score and reaction to image - though now I'm a little sorry. I'm no crazier about being put down for giving a high score than I am for giving a low score.
