Just thought I'd rant for a second. I am really really really really angry at the moment. Imagine your mother dies, without warning, and now you are trying to take care of all the affairs. Now imagine that every step you take is met with "Your call is important to us, please stay on the line and someone will be with you momentarily" followed by a menu with no option appropriate to your situation, followed by more of that ANNOYING message, followed by giving all the same information you gave the last fifteen or so calls (which they have on their screen, dammit) followed by general insanity.

I really can't take any more of this crap.

I just want to assume the damn loan. I'm already making payments with no apparent rights to what I'm making payments on. It is beyond frustrating.

just keep pressing 0, and usually they give up and get you to someone.

It's not just bank of america. Every stupid place has these things now.

Go to a branch and talk to someone...Atleast then you can punch someone..............I am sorry for your loss

No one at a branch has a clue. I have tried that route. They will, however, take the money I give them.

Scream at the phone while that stupid recording is trying to figure out what you want.. and say key words like: assistance, representative, help, dingleberry, biteme, etc. If you find the right word, a real human suddenly speaks and asks what you need... and jeez why didn't you just say so sooner, we're right here you know. Happened to me. True story. And even if it doesn't work for getting human attention at BoA, it feels great to scream at that phone.

I just cry while on hold. And tell them that I know my call really doesn't matter. It's all very pathetic.

Sorry to hear about the crap you're dealing with on top of the loss, Deb. Only thing I can think to advise is to either get some legal counsel and/or do some research before you put too much money into their pockets. B of A does suck, no two ways about it. I could write a book.

Instructions ...

Often on those phone systems if you say "Agent" or "Operator" you can get to a live human.

If you need to do your own legal work, see if your local (or networked) library has any useful books from Nolo Press...

The choice of BoA wasn't mine. That just happens to be where the loan is held. I did call my lawyer today but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Did call yet another division at BoA and they wanted the deed, on file at the county courthouse. Hopefully the lawyer can get that or I'll have to take a vacation day to go up there and get it.

I did sit down and write a three page letter, which I did indeed mail today. Nothing will happen, but it made me feel a little better!
