Hi,

My regular assistant guy is outa town for a communion I'll be covering. Before i dive into a deeper pool, I wanted to offer the position to fellow DPC'ers if any one is interested. Unless something significant happens, I don't see this job getting cancelled.

When:
April 20th, 2013 10am-6pm

Where:
Ramsey, NJ
Details if interested.

What i m looking for:
An assistant. No photography work involved. You must be comfortable holding up, and positioning some lights and maintain a 24 inch soft box on a mono pod for up to 30 minutes at a time. I'll need you to be familiar with radio triggers, and (Canon)speedlites (i m using pocket wizards but it hardly matters). I need you to listen to direction but be able to use your own lighting intuition so i don't have to direct every shot. If you're not comfortable with simple flash, moving around with some weight, and radio-triggers, please leave this offer alone. Nothing against the early stage learners, but for this assignment, I need performance without much direction.

Compensation: I m looking to pay $150. You will not be compensated for travel separately and we'll be at a party so whatever food they've got is fair game for the both of us. I expect there will be break time, but don't count on it.

Caveats: You will not be compensated for travel separately and we'll be at a party so whatever food they've got is fair game for the both of us. I expect there will be break time, but don't count on it. We will be moving from a Church to a party, so expect some travel mid-job. If you don't have a car, I'll take you between locations, and we'll see if we can work out dropping you off to the nearest station. (I really recommend this for someone who does not live far away).

If you own a 5dmkiii, I would love to rent that camera body for the day off you. The rent I am willing to pay for the day: $70 ( this is of course not related to the fee you would receive for your assistant work). Batteries must come from you and be fully charged. The camera should be in working order without real maintenance requirements, and you should show up a bit early (9:45 am in this case) so we can make sure the body and my lenses work well together.

PM me if interested.
