Hoping someone can help with this. As I'm not up with all the things that can be done with Facebook.

I currently have a personal facebook page that is used for family and close friends. I want to add a page that will be just for my photography.

1. Deciding on 'Business' or 'Artist' for for the new page - is it important as to which one I choose?

2. I currently use lightroom to upload to Facebook. Can I set this up to upload to this new page?

3. I have friend requests from people that don't fit into my personal page of family/close friend and I would like to friend them on the new page only. Can this be done?

Thanks for the help

You don't friend a fan page, you like it. Setup a fan page, and invite anyone that you want to be be fans to like it.

Thanks David.

Also, do I go to this page through my original one when I have it set up or is it a separate login and password (new email address)?

Thanks heaps

Read the Facebook user agreement carefully. I was recently told that Facebook owns everything that is posted there, and that includes all photos. I have not verified that for myself, but I would check it out carefully before uploading all my photos.

Will check that. Maybe I should just update my flickr page and work with that.

You don't give up copyright it's one of those scary stories, you grant Facebook a license to display the picture otherwise they'd be breaking the law showing it to other ppl.

I watermark all my photos on my photo page as fb does allow downloading

There will be a link on the left side of the page. No separate login.

facebook is a natural extension to any marketing efforts, especially for photography. even so, approach it with caution.

i'd recommend using it more as a teaser to get people to visit your primary website. put an image, or a handful of images, and provide a link to where people can see all the goodies, as well as have an opportunity to buy things from you. granted, your website might not have all the warm-and-fuzzy-share-the-cuteness that facebook has, but, on the other hand, YOU OWN your site and YOU have control over things in a way that you never will have with facebook...

just my .02

good luck!
