Even if it's a small venue, I'm very excited for my first personal showing. It's going to start on Thursday and it should end the day before Easter.

I decided to print 15 photos (8 portraits, 4 landscapes and 3 artworks) using gatorfoam. Not a super big size (45x30cms) but they look great even like this!

A couple of them:

And this is some stuff I just prepared for the showing days and for my brand new Facebook photography page

Well, I know you're too far, but think of me during those days :)

They came out very nice. How are you hanging them?

Congrat's Alessandro!

Where are they showing?

I've had three or four prints made on Gatorboard at WHCC...very nice, but hard to hang for showings because they are set up for flush mounting with screws on the four corners...how are yours set? It is a great way to go frameless besides canvas...though fairly expensive too!

Thanks guys!

They have wires coming from the ceiling and I planned to hang the photos there.

Neil mine come with a sticky hook. The only problem I can see is the equilibrium of the photos

Yes they are very expensive, but at least I could get a good price compared with what a real customer usually pays. The price for me was 17 euros each (23-24 dollars more or less). This is a firm which specializes in fine art prints and the difference with a traditional (normal printing laboratory) is amazing. You can see every little detail of the image!

Bravissimo! you'll have to give me the number of that printing house, I've remained less than satisfied with my prints.

Big Congratulations!

Thanks guys! Yesterday I brought 10 of 15 prints and from today people can see them. On Saturday I'll bring
other 5 prints and on Sunday I'll be there to answer questions and meet friends.

I'm very happy with the result, they look great on the wall! :)

Very good point!

These ones:

Last one is the oldest photo and the only one I haven't used for a challenge. DPC has certainly been my greatest source of inspiration during the last couple of years :)

I have to say that the opening act of the showing went very well: a lot of people and tons of nice words about my photos, definitely a good day!

Here some pics for you:

ETA: not a wonderful weekend though: on Friday someone entered in my house stealing money and my wife's wedding ring... I never experienced something like this and it's been a kind of shock for me :(

Congratulations - a wonderful variety of pieces and they look great.
A break-in is so upsetting (to put it mildly) - a violation that leaves one feeling angry and frightened and helpless all at once. So sorry to hear this, Alex
