My heart just breaks when I see pictures from Vietnam. Our soldiers went through SO MUCH and gave SO MUCH and were treated so badly when they came home. To me it was just like they were fogotten.I know alot that still carry the scares and bad memories with them. Thanks for reminding us of their courage.

Thank you so much for posting. My father's brother - his only sibling - was killed in Vietnam. We have a couple of photos but are always looking for more. The collection you linked is just amazing...

Meow,

If it make you feel better, most of us got over it long ago. Some things are indelible, but the beauty of life and our children has helped time heal the wounds. Yes we were held to blame for answering our country's call. But perhaps some good came from this, as now our citizens have come to realize it is our leaders, and not our service men and women, that call the shots.

What a fantastic set of images! It brings home the fact to me that in any armed conflict we should ask our lawmakers " what are we fighting for" especially in today's global war arena!

Amazing images Dean..thanks for posting!
My dad passed away in 2007 and was a Vietnam vet. I am just now in the begining stages of trying to find out exactly where he was while he was in the country. My goal in the near future is to visit (as much as I can) where he was.

So again...thanks for posting..great stuff
