Ok so I went to the St. Louis Zoo two weekends back and caught some pretty cool images. But as I was going back through them I caught this pretty cool image (atleast I think its cool) :) of a giraffe with a disappearing head. Post any shots that you have captured that fall into this category of unusual shots.

It is the juxtaposition that makes it a really cool and unique capture! Instead of the Ostrich sticking it's head in the sand to 'disappear' (myth) it is the giraffe who is hiding his/her head:-)

The shape and location of the lens flare in this shot started a minor captioning contest when I posted it on Facebook a few days ago.

But this was almost my 2010 Best of Entry, but Nathan said put the surfing shot in!

The flare and the noise and a couple of Curves made for an interesting effect.

I was just taking a picture of the flying birds -- I didn't realize what I had "caught" until I pulled it up in photoshop!

Thought I was getting seagull silhouettes. Didn't notice that one of them was a satellite dish.
