I remembered gyaban showing how small his entries looked compared to the size of his screen. Last week I was in Puglia for a couple of works (video shoots) and I edited 2 entries using the last iMac version of a friend of mine Antonio (he's the guy in this picture and a great photographer as well):



But the problem is with my last entry: I immediately noticed how small it was on that computer after the resizing, but in that moment that gyaban's post didn't come to mind. So at that resolution that sort of painting effect was not visible at all, but I came back home I understood why so many commenters talked of a painterly effect:



Have you ever experienced something like this with your photos?

bigger better

I edit my entries on a 24" Dell screen and the textures, details are (for me alt least awesome)

Once resized its just another Facebook pic :-)

I've never experienced that. but that's probably because i edit on a 17" laptop and use my small pc flatscreen monitor at work to see how it looks on that.

You'll be tired of this theme at some point - 800 pixels is a Crime Against Nature!
