Incredible pace. Shows what the larger ice surface can do for the speed of the game and offense.

Child's play. Sweden; you're up next! :D

Great game from Canada. Outplayed the US and had more quality scoring chances. The US had their fair share of chances but weren't very creative. Kessel in particular repeatedly shot unobstructed from the outside, wasting rushes. Child's play is a bit harsh, though. It was a 1-0 game, after all.

Crap. Now we have to keep Bieber.

Was fantastic!
The office here practically shut down and the Executive-Director at our site had one of his staff come to us (the IT guys) to find out how to put it up on the 100" SmartBoard screen in the main boardroom

Hehe - had to gloat a little. It was VERY exiting the last few minutes. My pulse was racing... For some reason, USA didn't have the energy today that I had expected from them.

One eye on the game and one eye on my work for the last period! Now Canada gets to avenge for the loss to Sweden in shootout in 1994! GO CANADA GO!

Agreed. About halfway through the first period they already stated to look flat. There were many times in the third period where I thought I had missed a penalty and they were down a man. Still, I was hoping for a lucky bounce at the end. ;)

Wow, talk about not showing up. The US just embarrassed themselves against Finland

No kidding. And good to see your face around here again :-) Or your rear, actually, but you catch my drift...

The loss I can understand, as Finland's no slouch, but it's the way in which they lost that is embarrassing. Gave up two quick goals, couldn't grab one back quickly enough (despite some decent pressure) and then went into full-speed-ahead prima donna pout mode, taking ugly, senseless slashing and tripping penalties throughout the 3rd period. Kane in particular, after missing two penalty shots, completely lost composure. This was supposed to be a "character" team. Didn't show any character in the end there.

Par for the course for a Byslma coached team. Simply put this team wasn't suited for a quick tourney. They don't have enough difference makers and all around super stars like Canada. Heck, if the US had any of the other Chicago players (Toews, Sharp, Keith, Seabrook, etc) instead of the over-stickhanding-post-loving Patrick Kane they may have won a medal.

Too bad stickhanding is not an Olympic sport.
