NY Capital District - Starting to turn! I just came from the bike path and was surprised to see some nice color. Not everywhere, but some trees understand that Fall is already in progress!

Post for anywhere...but my question is: finger lakes region...how are the leaves? Thinking about going there middle of next week...

Like when Joaquin blows them off completely.

Who let you into Massachusetts?

We were supposed to go to Shenandoah the end of next week, but the weather may be putting a crimp in our plans.

I did; and he's coming here tomorrow. Be very afraid!

I was watching the traffic report on TV today, and the news anchor said, "Oh hey, I just noticed the leaves are starting to turn!" So, there you have it, they're starting in the Toronto area...

It has been a delayed season this year, with peak colour being delayed by at least about a week. (at least in the southern ontario region)

Oh, don't worry, most of the house is still standing . ;-)

Also, "arrange" would imply planning, I think we all know I'm nowhere near that sophisticated... :-D

(In all seriousness I'm sad I didn't get to meet you. Next time for sure)

So...anyone know about the Fingerlakes region? Is it too early to go? How far along?

Thinking specifically about Watkins Glen...

We rode through Shenandoah yesterday and this morning on our way to South Carolina (the part not under water), and the leaves are still mostly green, with just a hint of yellow. We were probably a week or two early. And I saw no bears. I wanted to see a bear.
