I know its not the best, but it was one of my favorite macros, I really wanna learn from this shot.

Thank you for those that already commented!

I really wanna hear from the lower ones who voted on what made them hate this so much.. was it because it was a spider or other techy issues?? I was not expecting to come in last, but thank you, I have my spot back again
This spider was on the move spinning his web like crazy, so stacking was going to be impossible.

I did use my Yellow filter macro LED Ring light on this as well, Extension tubes 28-135 I kinda wonder if it is because of the colored filter the details just didn't pop like they normally do, I usually use my white filter but bugs and spiders prefer my yellow filter and don't "hide" from it as much.
ISO 800
1/125
Manual focus, manual lens
Ap F11

Remember, I am not a sugar kinda coat it person, tell it blunt like it is and if you just hated spiders just say so :-)

Over 50 was taken of him but this one was the best and my fav

I left a comment on this image just before you posted this. It reminds me of an x-ray and I particularly like the unconventional composition and vexing ball of web-stuff.

As far as an "insect photograph" it likely wouldn't meet the criteria of a typically strong example of that. A quick look around this site will lead you to perfectly lit, sharp macros that reveal the frightening eyes of some of the most colorful insects I've seen. So perhaps the fact that the eyes are off-screen, the web is hardly visible, and the spider appears to have eluded the photographer might have dropped your score.

However, I think the scores of 1 and 2 do reveal that there is something about this that troubles people. And that's pretty awesome.
I was very close to giving this a baby-face award ... I, for one, think spiders are just swell .. and this is a fine example of one in action on an artful canvas :]

I gave it a 4. I love the detail in the top part of the spider, but wish the entire spider was included.

I think it's massively artistic, but not a "good" classic macro.

it's an underground photo. keep taking photos like this and what you lose in scores you will gain in bling.
