After my new D750 quit working in the middle of my recent trip (I had fortunately brought a backup with me), I took it in for service when I returned. I got a call today (3 days later) that it was ready to pick up.

When I got there, he handed me a box - a brand new D750, saying that based on the recent repair history of my camera, they decided to replace it altogether with a brand new one :D.

They turned two D600's into D610's for me, including one that I bought used. They have their problems, but they seem to get stuff like this right more times than not.

That's the kind of customer service that keeps people coming back. The LLBean model...they've replaced my somewhat too expensive socks a few times now.

I just wish they'd make a mirrorless camera that can take the Nikon lenses, with autofocus, before I go and sell all of mine, rather than afterwards, as they will probably do.

I will add the D750 is the camera I would have definitely bought had I not gone mirrorless!

Yup, it is a fine camera. I don't know if/when I'll go mirrorless, but I'm not there yet :)_

Of course not; you're a woman, and a fine-looking one as well. The mirror is your friend :-)

They did that with my D90 after the first one kept seizing up in cold/damp condition - just total black screen. So the third time they simply handed me a new D90, which was fine, til I traded it in for the D7100.
