Just thought I'd share that, because for the last 2.5 weeks I've been impatiently waiting for what I thought was going to be a wicked set of strip lights. Sure the price was low, but then, I buy very basic studio gear.

Anyhoo so finally today they came...and guess what...they're just the honeycomb grids for a set of strip lights! But the ad was written in such a way that yes, dumb ol me thought I actually was getting the frickin softboxes, Bowen mounts, and struts to go with the grids.

*facepalm*

*sigh*...so...I spent all of $25 USD on the frickin things and they're useless to me...so anyone want them? GoogleMeking honeycomb grid 40cmx200cm / 16"x80" for softbox studio flash lighting

In the meantime I've gone ahead and ordered me a set of real striplights this time, I made sure! And spent a bit more $$ but didn't go crazy.

If nobody wants these stoopid grids, I guess I'll just keep em and repurpose them. Like for a miniskirt or something.

Obama.

It's his fault.

You're totally right in your expectations.

Mehhh..not worth it and last time I tried to return stuff to China, it got lost en route. Not their fault, mine. Oh well they didn't cost that much. And I only make killer syrup cause my trees give me killer sap - all I do is boil the stuff :-)

Used to be, cod was a delicious fish, and scrod was an extra delicious fish. Now? Scrod is just a past tense of... Oh, forgettabout it...

You really need to talk to that real nice ole fella who lives close to you, you know the one with the whitish hair that used to be red... he might even have some lighting equipment he could lend you. All you would need to do is explain to him what it is he has and what they do; :O)

You do have lighting equipment? I didn't think you did...but I have already ordered the strip lights. But I can try to help you learn your gear if you like (as best I can anyways)

Of course it does, that's why I said this: Sure, I'm always into checking out a guy's equipment...esp after meeting them at a pub...;-p...will PM you!

Relax everyone. About a million years ago when he strayed into the then-teeny tiny little library that I frequented, and was voting on images. I was at the computer next to his and of course, with him being a cop and all, he soon noticed me peeking over at what he was doing and thus intro'd me to DPC.

I went home that night and, for my first entry, set a house on fire in an effort to win a ribbon. Haven't stopped since!

That Ray... always one to put out a fire...

Gotta love him... in a very non-hot/non-fireish way. :D

Carry on.

Considering that I will be 70 years young in June, I do believe I have reached the "Self Extinguishing" phase of my life.

Trust me, I am old and as such you are safe. :O)
