Not sure what the issue is but lately my 580EX II is behaving not as expected, if i just leave the flash on over my 6D it does not fire but when I tilt it right side then it works and fails again on left. I tried flash on 70D then I dont do anything and flash works. Now on other end if I put 600Rt on 6D then it works fine without touching it, meaning working as expected.

any clue on what could be the issue? Here is the video to show you the problem

I think your connector on the 6D has a problem.

It's most likely the something about the way that specific flash mates to that specific camera. Dimensional tolerances can do that to you. In any case, there is something that is not right, and I'd look at the flash as the major contributor before I looked at the body. It is possible that there is a problem with both, though. They both may have sustained a mechanical stress, say a push to the right, when they were mated together, which might explain the behavior.

I came across this online and have shown what needs to be done. I will try and share the outcome!
