Show us what you'd look like... if ... YOU were... an animal.
You've gotta start with a photo of you. *grin*

Then... make it interesting!

Uhh... *cringes* *searches for the new words for "Expert Editing"...

Uhhh...

Help me out here.

for some fun inspiration for those who may not watch the show, check out imagery from "Wesen" from the show Grimm (NBC, Friday Nights).
From the "Grimm Wiki"

google

---
(clarification: Wesen (VES-sin; Ger. "a being" or "creature") is a collective term used to describe the creatures visible to the Grimms. They are the basis not only of the fairy tales that the Brothers Grimm have compiled, but also of the many legends and folklore from many cultures (i.e. Anubis, Aswang, Chupacabra, and Wendigo).

Basically, they are people who are able to metamorphose with animalistic properties while maintaining bipedal functionality and higher level thought processes.

Those are some really well done images, Ryan. That's exactly what I was thinking... only less violent (for my own animal me).

Just a quick conversion. I would definitely be my domestic longhair Dexter! HAHA!
Seriously, I like the idea a lot. It would be a great opportunity for us to put our creative instincts and abilities to work and see what we can come up with. I also prefer the less violent imagery although a mixture of both would be good. Let's do this!!

If this does become a listed challenge, please give us links to a few good tutorials, too, for those of us who'd need a bit of help with this.

Go to YouTube and enter "photoshop creating human animal"

So many tutorials show up!

I love YouTube. :D

People are so generous to share their knowledge!

Would be allowed to use "....this face in hole photo editor..."?

I was just thinking that instead of searching through tons of videos find something acceptable, some of our members probably know of a really good tutorial.

Personally, I prefer step-by-step written tutorials to videos.

Definitely NOT, that's using somebody else's animal image as a source image for your composite, and you can't do that; you have to shoot 'em all yourself.

That's what I thought - thanks for the confirmation :-)

Karin.. you would probably be best off using Photoshop tutorials for transparent overlays.

This is not the easiest thing to do so perhaps it's not a good idea for a challenge. However, here's a youtube video of how it's done:
