Waterscape · Standard Editing
We do a lot of landscapes in DPC; let's try a waterscape! Seascape, Riverscape, Lakescape, Puddlescape, Creekscape, Pondscape, whatever...

Since Waterscape is really included in "Landscapes" (and as said, we do a lot of them)... then why limit it further?

And... Puddlescapes? Really?

I know that most of us (including me) don't live near a large body of water, but... suggesting a "Puddlescape" as competition to the beautiful water scenes that usually win/score well every Free Study... is like suggesting that we enter an ant hill in a "Mountains" challenge.

And, no... I'm not suggesting a "Mountains" challenge... that's as unreasonable as a "Waterscape" challenge.

Carry on, folks.

What was wrong with the three of these?

Body of Water III

Oceans, rivers, ponds, lakes, streams, brooks, fjords, swamps, waterfalls, dams, reservoirs, puddles, etc. Natural water takes on many shapes. Capture a naturally made body of water or even a man made one like a reservoir. No water drops, wine glasses or man made containers.

Your point? That was in a Free Study, not a water-oriented challenge specifically including "puddlescapes" ... and I wasn't posting it to show off its great score.

Yes I live near the ocean... Yes I have lakes nearby... No, I don't think this is unreasonable. I see lots of things that don't pertain to me... Example - Almost every fall/autumn there is a foliage challenge... If you've ever been to FL you know that this doesn't pertain to me even in the slightest bit. We have one season... Hot... I just don't see an issue with a challenge here and there, that doesn't work for everyone.

My 2¢.

For me, a nice puddlescape has a decent chance against a picture postcard shore or idyllic lake scene. With a good puddle, you can make a mountain our of a mole hill.
