I just submitted my entry for the "In the Marketplace" challenge. Delightedly.

It was a delight because I have a good source for subject material, and I realized with this entry in particular that it seems that I savor the opportunity to enter a Minimal challenge.

I can shoot and get pretty much exactly what I want. I'm a pretty good photographer. I have a good handle on how to work with my equipment, I am comfortable with composition, and the Minimal ruleset frees me from having to do anything other than concentrate on coming up with an interesting image. And I feel that I can do that.

I am a pretty good photographer because of the time and effort that I've spent here. The direct and indirect education and experience that I've been exposed to has enabled me to immerse myself in the art of photography to thoroughly and completely enjoy it.

I don't care one whit how my entry does. I have already derived my fun and delightful experience in producing the image that I submitted. I know it's what I wanted, set out to do, and accomplished.

It's what you've taught me, DPC community, and I take it with me every time I take my camera out the door.
