We are considering a trip to Patagonia (a Backroads travel company active trip) next winter. I've not yet had time to investigate but I thought it might be good to get some info here about photo ops there (and whatever else you might know!)

Thanks in advance!

If you want to see the full itinerary from the travel company, it's here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/backroads_web/pgi/17-18MARIR1d_pgi.pdf

All I have to say is *JEALOUS!*
I've been floating the Patagonia idea to my better half and the friends we normally travel with... I don't think they appreciate the attraction, LOL. Normally, we vacation in a tropical location.

Patagonia is so named because early Europeans saw huge footprints in the mud/earth/rock - probably didn't know they were fossilised footprints - and concluded that something with big feet 'patas' must live there.

We will need photographs of these footprints.

Neil, had you thought of contacting Ursula ? I seem to recall at one point several years ago she was leading a photo tour there.
