It's likely that Lexar's Image Rescue would treat your hard drive as just another media card and allow you to recover the erased files. |

nope,
software is for cards, and I use sandisk. I erased the images from the card using my computer (trash/empty trash)

I'm pretty sure Image Rescue works on non-Lexar cards.

A couple of years ago I used a program called "undelete" to recover deleted files from my hard drive.
Apparently it works as long as you don't write over the rest of your drive or format the drive you're trying to recover from. It may work on both your CF (via card reader) and/or hard disk (trash, Temp files). Not sure if it works on a Mac.
Google "Undelete" and programs like it. :)

Thanks shannon for the email, I'm running File Juicer right now, and if that doesn't work, then image rescue.
