Hi again dear DPC's.

I've got a plan to buy a new lens. My wife is near convinced...

I I get short on the money I'm planning in the sigma 10-20mm for landscapes/nature.

If I can afford I'll go for the 70-200 f2.8 from Sigma.

Can you care to comment about this lens? About the 10-20 I've readed good and bad things, like soft focus or vigneting. Regarding the 70-200 Would it be a better money for glass than the Nikon 80-200f2.8, wich is more expensive.

Your comments and personal experience are wellcome.

i ordered a sigma 10-20 and it is currently in the mail. I should get it sometime this week or early next week. I will try to write some of my impressions of it. For me it was either the sigma 10-20 or the tokina 12-24. I choose the sigma bcos it was smaller, lighter, has good optics according to the reviews i've seen (though the tokina is a very sharp lens as well), and for the little extra wideness it was over the tokina.

I have no experience with the 10-20 and only a week so with the 70-200. But I can say that it is very sharp, focuses fast and has superior build quality. And it's a fairly heavy lens. Here's the first image I have posted from the 70-200.

Photozone.de has review of both the Canon and the Sigma's 70-200.

A bump for the morning people.

Any photo's from the 10-20?
