A grave with a withering flower laying in the middle. The Name of the person is ANN ??? and the date was in the 1800's.

She died in the 1800's and someone is still leaving flowers on her grave. That's impressive.

How about Rise Up and Bless Her. There's a part in the Bible where God promises I think it was Rachel that her children would rise up and call her blessed.

Bereavement of Beauty

To me this title gives the essence of the beauty of Ann and the flower both being bereaved.

I have another photo where your title will be perfect. I will try to upload tonight. Thanks

I like the title. Let me see if anyone comes up with another. But very good title you suggested.
Thanks

What do you want the image to convey?

The fact that someone still leaves flowers, and therefore still cares (ie: gone but not forgotten, tribute)? The fact that the flower is dying and rotting away (ie: fading away)?

I guess I am implying that you can probably steer people towards a particular emotion based on what title you use. Whether or not you want to do that is a different question altogether.

Anyway, its a pretty good photo - very interesting choice of composition.

Yes the composition is not the way I would of liked it. I could of moved the flower around so the shot would of still showed the flower and put the headstone in the shot but I didn't want to desturb what was there. I had to crop because of another slab nexted to ANN's and the sun angle.

Withered came to mind. Why would someone toss the flowers there? The questions in my mind is the reason for a title request.
