I could recognize quite a lot actually.
I didn't leave comments because I'm not sure what to say.
If I simply left a short comment like "Bob, you look silly in that pose",
it's not very helpful, is it? hmm... |

Funny, I was thinking of this idea too. I'm not sure how many people I would recognize. |

I know, it would have been more fun to me if people didn't recognize me ;)
Thanks for the compliment!
So far I recognized 17 DPC-ers, I haven't vote on all entries yet.
@Yanko: Lol!

I'll be the hardest one to get recognized. With turban on my head, I easily get lost in crowd ...lol. Keep looking for me ;)
...oh yes – I’m planning to put reward (just for “recognizing” me. I’m not the one who needs to be captured … unless its on roll :)...lol)

Hehe, gonna try and vote on this one and ONLY comment on those I recognize, guessing which one it is.
I myself have already gotten 9 comments (my score does not reflect the many comments though, hehe) and 4 of those recognized me, and I just can´t figure out HOW! All four people have never ever seen me so what the f*#k? No way you guys recognize me from my profile shot, it´s more than a year old and I have gotten older and moldier! Besides, it´s only 90x120 pixles :) |

I have not been recognized yet - at least not that anyone mentioned in the 4 comments I have received so far.
Larus recognized my before in the Color Portrait challenge but it may be a bit more difficult this time - but it should be doable... :) |

I am fairly sure I recognized you Cindi but not 100%. I actually yawned "oooooooooh, is that Cindi???" ;)
If it was who I thought it was, I left you a comment already... |

:-) You left me a nice comment Are ... veldig koselig.
Btw, since you are norwegian, have you travelled with Hurtigruten and do you live anywhere where it sails?
Edit: Guess not if you live in Darbu close to Kongsberg ;-/

I'm not good at recognizing people in a crowd, the same thing is kinda happening here. I do see some faces I recognize, but having a hard time putting usernames with them. There are some exceptions.

You are right about Darbu now but I'm actually from Stavanger so yes but I have never been on it before. It won't be long though. Actually; Hurtigruten would be great for photographers and would give many great photo ops.
I'm glad you saw my comment - nice picture! :) |

I am counting the days, we sail from Bergen on June 26 and we are taking the whole 12 day cruise. It truly is a dream come true. And I am sure I will fill my memorycards every day.

I recognize quite a few :)
The recent SP craze has side effects.
Ancillary humorous-to-none anecdote:
I'm walking through the props-and-ancillary-junk store (wal-mart) when out of the corner of my eye I see lentil! "Holy crap!!" I'm turning around to say "WTH!!" when I catch myself and remember she's 1/2 a world away. 15 minutes later I saw Rikki.
I spend far too much time here. |

I said that exact thing in one of my comments. It's like "heh, don't I know you from somewhere? I just can't place your name." LOL
What a joy to see all of these. One of my fav challenges to vote on so far.

Being recognized by a lot of voters might be a signal that it's time to try to branch out a little in the "style" of photos one enters, or use more variety in one's post processing methods. Of course the concept of anonymity is, by definition, suspended for a Self Portrait challenge, but if a photographer really wanted to challenge themself they could try to enter a self portrait that would score well yet not be identifiable.

I did just that. Out on a limb of sorts for me. Might be why not many people are recognizing it as my shot! :)
