Yep, sunflower is pretty cool for a flower photo.... Not sure how well it would have gone, the texture overlay makes it for me

not outtakes but originals for those who say they want to see the edits:

I was so centered in this exotic flower That I completely overlooked this other one , which later I realized it would have scored better.
What do you think?

I had a bunch of outtakes - and probably should have used one of them! A couple of them do have added texture layers.

Original:

considered entering this one:
this was actually shot at sunrise, with the horizon on the background.
Seeing all the gorgeous shots in this challenge, I can see why mine didn't fare too well. At least I had fun shooting them.

Here is my entry:

The original...

And a B&W version I considered entering...

I did also take a few images of another flower, this is the one I preferred from those....

Would appreciate peoples thoughts on my outtakes, did I enter the right shot? :)

I almost entered this, at the last minute. Was I wise to hold back?
07/10/2006 09:53:17 PM · #18
Here was the one I used...

Here is the updated version with a better crop and some added highlighting...

//

I went back and forth between this

and this

I ended up going with the 2nd, but I'm not sure that I didn't miss the boat.

I had a ton of outtakes, all of which would have been equally as lackluster as the one I ultimately chose.
